| EXTREME RAFTING - New!
Attention: “Experienced Whitewater Rafters”.
The next step is here! “Extreme Rafting”!
Ever wonder what the guides do for fun? This is the ultimate rush, traveling
down the Kicking Horse, one of North America’s most exciting whitewater
rivers. The 13ft “Maravia Spider” gives us the ability to
maximize every river feature.
With a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 5 people at a time the Extreme Whitewater
will give you the challenges you’ve been waiting for.
The trip starts off in the calmer, slower sections of the upper canyon
giving you a chance to learn and practice safety and self-rescue techniques.
Rafters must demonstrate they can mentally and physically meet the demands
of the rapids to come.
The following are some of the exercises you may* be subjected to:
Offensive/Defensive Swimming Techniques
Entering/Exiting Raft
Throw Bags
Recognizing river features
Flip drills and scenarios
Rescue and self-rescue techniques
QUALIFICATIONS:
Extreme Rafters must be fit, able to swim and have prior rafting experience
on the Kicking Horse River. Trips may* include all or some of the above.
*Some of these exercises are dependant upon water levels, weather, guides
discretion and other situational factors.
